Washington Regional Medical Center
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for providing language services to the Marshallese-speaking community when they are patients or visitors of Washington Regional. This position has exposure to communicable diseases and body fluids. This position spends the majority of work time standing and walking short distances to be available for the patients/visitors. Frequent, intermittent sitting for documentation of services is also required. The ability to drive among Washington Regional facilities is required.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED Valid Drivers License and Automobile Liability Insurance
DESCRIBE THE SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL AND SKILL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION Native speaking or otherwise fluent in Marshallese language skills including: speaking, reading, and writing (as confirmed via examination). Excellent bilingual (English/Marshallese) written and verbal communication skills. High School diploma or GED required. Credentialed as a nurse assistant or other experience in a healthcare environment is required. CPR preferred. Computer literate.
Additional Information
Weekend and/or Holiday Rotation may be required.
Rotating Shifts may be required.

| markmaierody, may I ask what language you speak please? Do you have any ideas why they needed a Marshallese Translator? The characteristics needed translator for are already in English, so why inquiry for english translator markmaierody? C'mon, be realistic here please. If you're not capable of speaking both languages, any ways I could help you with? Thanks. |
